Amarpreet has been working in the area of Women and their rights since the year 2010, when she took on the task of ensuring women are able to fulfill their career goals in a dignified and intellectually appropriate manner.

In March 2018, a legal entity was formed to give a formal share to the work being done. With the name of HRhelpdesk Trust, a public charitable Trust, the Non-Government Organization (NGO), focuses at ensuring ‘Dignified and Equal Work Rights for Women’.

As a social activist, Amarpreet has been working in the areas of Crime Against Women, Sexual Harassment of Women, Equality, Hygiene, Gender Awareness and Women Rights in General. She has protected, counselled, trained and mentored women across locations, spread across various walks of life.

Amarpreet is one of the few social activists having the exposure of working with farmers, armed forces, police forces, business professionals, scientists and politicians, across the rural to urban landscape.

Some key organizations where Amarpreet has been engaged are UN Women – United Nations, Ministry of Labour & Employment – Government of India, Ministry of Jal – Government of India, Ministry of Power – Government of India, Indian Army and Delhi Police, amongst others.

Educationally Amarpreet is Bachelor of commerce by education and has done higher education capsules from Indian School of Business, Hyderabad and Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai.

Amarpreet has been recognized for her work in the area of Prevention of Sexual Harassment and Women Rights by Change dot org, as a change maker and by Bill and Melinda gates Foundation as GoalKeeper. She has also authored a book called Ansuna.
